Yule Season, part three - Yule Goat & Yule Log Tales
for this time of turning darkness into light

Some tales and folklore of the slow burning Yule Log. A local tale of the mating of the Cailleach conceiving the new light to be birthed in Spring. Reverence for the Tree Of Life. The joy of the Green we bring into out homes to remind us of life and the green of Spring will soon be with us. And some lovely guests to share their interpretations of this time.

The Yule Goat Folklore Tales and Traditions goes back 100s of years but fragments of them still exist in Scandinavia today, and in Alaska too. I will present quite a short version of the evolving Yule Goat tradition, as I believe this will surprisingly reveal and tie together several loose ends of fragmented Samhain, Yule and Christmas traditions that we use and enjoy today.

This is our celebration of Yule with stories of the changing wheel of the year, and how the fallen is rising again,

What is Yule time, Midwinter time for you? How do you interpret it? Please share your poem or story on 'Nature Folklore'. Message me.
