Tree Season, part 3 - Us And Trees, What Can We Do? Part Two

exploring a return towards being closer to trees people ... next session Sunday 12th March 2023

about this afternoon session ...

Two 'Nature Folklore' episodes that explore some of the practical, engaging, wholesome, and personally therapeutic activities we can do within and around trees.

During Part One, the previous Sunday, we focused on our relationships with trees and suggested what we can do to include our local communities.

Now, during this Part Two, the focus is more on how we may return to more of our ancient heritage of being 'Trees People'.

Subjects covered through both Sundays include suggestions of how to create more passion for trees and woodlands, forest education that is available for anyone, suggestions of how we can achieve carbon dioxide reduction and increasing replacement oxygen with trees, even in small spaces. Plus explain what some people call a 'green prescription' for more health for yourself and others among the trees.

I do use Ireland as an example, and why the ideal for the current population of Ireland is 25% of the land being tree covered. What I share about this can apply anywhere in the world

I break this down further to show how just access to quarter of an acre with mixed native trees over 10 years old could consume more CO2 than what we output through car driving and home energy use combined.

I also suggest how more trees involvement is possible if you live in an apartment.

These two sessions are not all about science and green living  or even just about Forest Bathing contemplation larks. The aim is to bring it all together to become more about Woodland Connection. A mix of folklore along with with hands-on suggestions really ... plus some lovely guests.

Do you happen to have any poems or stories about trees, maybe precious trees in your life, or your memories of them? Please offer to share your stories and poems as a guest. You can be live on the show or send me pre-recorded video or audio. Please message me with what you have to share. Thank you.
